CSTA database and communications
Since 2008 the CSTA has maintained a confidential database of science educators in the Canterbury region. This database is updated at every opportunity, as updates come to hand
The intent of the database is to directly reach classroom teachers about relevant events, workshops, lectures, professional development and networking opportunities which are likely to support their teaching.
With regular updating the database has proven to be an effective tool for improving science communication between teachers at all levels, as well as between science institutions and schools.
